Instructions

  1. Place the pork chops in a large zip-top bag or shallow dish. Pour the Bourbon Brown Sugar Marinade over the chops and turn to coat evenly. Refrigerate for at least 20 minutes and up to 4 hours. Remove from the refrigerator 20–30 minutes before grilling to take the chill off.

  2. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, about 400–450°F, and set it up for two-zone cooking.

  3. Remove the pork chops from the marinade and allow excess to drip off. Discard the used marinade. lace the chops over direct heat first. Grill for about 3–4 minutes without moving them so a deep caramelized crust develops. Flip and grill another 3–4 minutes on the second side. Because the marinade contains sugar, watch closely and manage flare-ups by moving the chops temporarily to the cooler side if needed.

  4. Once both sides are nicely seared, move the chops to the indirect side of the grill. Close the lid and continue cooking until the internal temperature reaches 140°F. Use an instant-read thermometer for accuracy (see recommended internal temperatures).

  5. During the final 1–2 minutes of cooking, brush lightly with fresh Kinder’s Bourbon Brown Sugar Marinade to create a glossy finish. Allow it to set gently over indirect heat to avoid burning.

  6. Remove the pork chops from the grill and let rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.
