Ingredients

For the Salad

  • 1 large head iceberg lettuce, quartered into wedges

  • 4 to 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled (or Kinder’s Candied Bacon, chopped)

  • 3ea hard Boiled Eggs, Chopped

  • 1 cup cut Cherry tomatoes

  • 1 cup Blue cheese, Crumbled

For the Dressing

Instructions

  1. Start by preparing the bacon. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crisp. Reserve about 1 tablespoon of the rendered bacon fat for the dressing, then crumble or chop the remaining bacon. If using Kinder’s Millionaire’s Bacon instead, cook and chop it the same way for a sweet and savory upgrade.

  2. To make the dressing*, combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, buttermilk, and blue cheese in a mixing bowl. Add Kinder’s Prime Steak Seasoning and stir well. Mix in the rendered bacon fat for extra richness, or fold in finely chopped Kinder’s Millionaire’s Bacon for a fun twist. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.

  3. Prepare the iceberg lettuce by removing any wilted outer leaves. Cut the head into quarters to form wedges, keeping the core intact so the wedges stay together. Place the wedges on a serving platter or individual plates.

  4. Spoon the dressing generously over each lettuce wedge, letting it drip down the sides.

  5. Top the salads with crumbled bacon, extra blue cheese, cut cherry tomatoes, and hard-boiled egg.

  6. Finish with a light dusting of Kinder’s Prime Steak Seasoning and serve immediately.

*Dressing will yield a very full pint and keeps in the refrigerator for up to a week. Bacon crumbles and dressing can be made in advance to make prep easier.
