
Ingredients
1.5 Lbs Stew beef or chuck roast
4 Cups Vegetables (such as carrots, potatoes, celery, onions)
2 Tbsp Flour
1-1.5 Cups Beef Stock (or water)
1 Tbsp Tomato paste
Instructions
Stovetop Method:
Cut 1.5 lb stew beef or chuck roast into 1-inch cubes and coat with 2 tbsp flour
Add beef, Grandpa’s Beef Stew Seasoning, tomato paste, stock (or water), and chopped vegetables to a stock pot.
Heat until simmering, then reduce heat to low and cover. Add water as needed to thin out sauce.
Simmer 90 minutes or until meat is tender.
Instant Pot Method:
Cut 1.5 lb stew beef or chuck roast into 1-inch cubes and coat with 2 tbsp flour.
Add beef, Grandpa’s Beef Stew Seasoning, tomato paste, 1 cup stock (or water), and chopped vegetables to your Instant Pot.
Cook on high pressure for 40 minutes, release pressure and cool 10 minutes.
Slow Cooker / Crock Pot Method:
Cut 1.5 lb stew beef or chuck roast into 1-inch cubes and coat with 2 tbsp flour.
Add beef, Grandpa’s Beef Stew Seasoning, tomato paste, 1.5 cup stock (or water), and chopped vegetables to your Slow Cooker.
Cook on low for 8 hours.
