
Elevate your next family gathering with this Deluxe Woodfired Green Bean Casserole. A twist on the classic dish, it features fresh green beans and a rich, creamy mushroom sauce topped with Kinder's Crispy Fried Onions.
Ingredients
1 lb fresh green beans (cut into 1½ inch pieces)
4 Tbsp butter
2 Tbsp cooking oil
½ yellow onion (diced)
½ lb brown or white mushrooms (chopped)
3 Tbsp all purpose flour
1 Cup chicken stock
1 Cup heavy cream
1 Tbsp Kinder’s The Blend Seasoning (or substitute salt and pepper to taste)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Heat skillet over medium heat and add cooking oil. Stir in yellow onions and cook for 5 minutes. Add mushrooms and stir to combine. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes until tender.
Melt butter, stir flour into mushroom mixture, and add Kinder’s The Blend Seasoning. Cook for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Then add stock and cream and cook for 5 minutes until sauce is thickened. Remove from heat.
Heat a large pot of salted water. Once boiling, add green beans and cook for 5 minutes. Drain, add to mushroom sauce, and stir to combine.
Transfer to a 9"x9" casserole dish and bake for 20 minutes. Remove and sprinkle with Kinder's Crispy Fried Onions and return to oven for an additional 5 minutes. Allow to cool for 5 to 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
