Ingredients
2 Prime Ribeye Steaks (14-16oz)
Canola or olive oil
Kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
Black Garlic Marinated Mushrooms (recipe)
Instructions
Prep your grill by lighting charcoal in a chimney starter, then pour it out into your grill. Let the grill preheat for about 15 minutes until it reaches 500°F.
Take the steaks out of the refrigerator approximately 20 minutes before cooking.
Lightly brush the steaks with canola or olive oil to prevent sticking.
Liberally season the steaks with salt and pepper. Thick-cut steaks require substantial seasoning, so adjust to your cut.
Grill the steaks for 3-4 minutes a side over high heat.
Cook until an instant-read thermometer reads 130°F (medium rare). Right before removing from the grill, brush the steaks with 4T Kinder's Gold Label Black Garlic BBQ Sauce on both sides.
Allow the steaks to rest for five minutes after grilling. Resting helps redistribute the juices, resulting in a more tender and flavorful steak.
Just before serving, brush both sides of the steak with 4T Kinder's Gold Label Black Garlic BBQ Sauce once again for a final layer of flavor and serve with Black Garlic Marinated Mushrooms.
